Overview

Nixa Commercial Door Branding and Web Design

This commercial door branding and web design case study shows how Vizomix helped Nixa build a precise, scalable identity for architects, developers, contractors, and facility managers. The system communicates engineering performance, trust, and modern architectural quality across digital and physical touchpoints.

Our work included strategic positioning, logo design, typography, color, and graphic systems, stationery, product visualization, catalog and specification materials, web design and development, and SEO for a growing architectural access systems brand.

01

Challenge

Commercial door brands often fall into generic, outdated visual conventions that lack modern appeal and technical clarity. Nixa needed a branding system that would:

  • Reflect engineering precision
  • Communicate safety, innovation, and trust
  • Appeal to professionals (architects, engineers, contractors)
  • Work across digital, print, product labeling, and industrial environments
  • Establish the brand as premium and dependable, not commodity

The challenge was to design an identity that felt both architectural and approachable, minimal yet distinctive.

Solution

A Modern Brand Identity for a New Era of Commercial Doors

Visual Identity Solution

Logo Concept

The Nixa® monogram is built from two overlapping semi-circular forms rotating at 105°, representing:

  • A pair of open doors
  • Precision engineering
  • Movement and access
  • A subtle architectural rhythm

Logotype

A custom logotype balances technical sharpness with accessible geometry, increasing legibility across blueprints, product tags, and architectural proposals.

Logo Formats

We designed multiple approved formats—horizontal, stacked, and monogram only—to maintain flexibility.

Color & Typography

The color palette emphasizes trust, precision, and reliability:

A cool, professional palette—Wedgewood Blue, Bali Hai, Morning Glory, Tradewind, with Burning Orange as an accent
Nixa brand color palette with blue, teal, and orange tones

Nixa’s typeface system uses Placard Next for display and a versatile sans-serif family for body text, selected for readability, industrial character, and layout flexibility.

  • High readability in technical environments
  • A strong industrial personality
  • Multiple weights for layout flexibility

Graphic System

The graphic system extends the 105° door-opening geometry into flexible patterns and layouts for digital, print, product labeling, and technical communication.

Stationery

To extend the new Nixa brand beyond the website, we created a coordinated suite of sales, packaging, and corporate materials. This system unified digital and physical touchpoints so the brand remained consistent in proposals, specifications, events, and customer communications.

  • Business cards
  • Letterheads
  • Envelopes
  • Duct tape and packaging applications
  • Digital signatures and profile icons
  • Catalog

Each piece reinforces the architectural simplicity and precision that define the Nixa brand.

3D Product Visualization

To showcase Nixa’s products with precision and clarity, we created a library of photoreal 3D renders that highlight the engineering and design of each door system. These visuals replace the need for full photoshoots and give the brand consistent, high-quality imagery across all platforms.

  • Clean, isolated product renders
  • Close-up detail shots
  • Architectural scene visuals
  • Configurable variations for different door types

The 3D assets give Nixa a modern, polished presentation that supports marketing, sales, and technical communication—helping the brand look premium at every touchpoint.

Outcome

The Nixa brand identity is designed for longevity. It is minimal, functional, symbolic, and adaptable—a refined system built to complement modern architectural materials and commercial hardware.

By grounding the logo in the 105° door-opening principle and building a comprehensive visual language around it, Nixa gained a scalable foundation for commercial doors, storefront systems, automatic entrances, and future architectural access products.

A Distinctive Architectural Identity

Nixa now stands apart from competitors with a strong, minimal, symbolic marque rooted in real door engineering.

Full Brand Consistency

The unified system ensures visual harmony across digital, print, and industrial use.

Technical & Professional Appeal

Architects and developers immediately understand the brand’s precision and modernity.

Scalable Across Future Product Lines

The modular logo and patterns make it easy to expand into additional categories—automatic doors, storefront systems, or access technologies.
